B-movie BENT: Attack of the Queer Dance Party!

It came from the depths of East Van….

B- movie BENT! The attack of the killer Queer Dance Party!

This month BENT will be taking our cues from lesbian pulp novels and
B-movies, from the far-fetched sci-fi of the 50s to the cheesy teen
dance flicks of the 80s. So for all you tramps, vamps, sea monsters,
dirty dancers, mad scientists, "sweet transvestites", robots, lesbian
vampires, time travelers, aliens, 50ft women, killer tomatoes and
aspiring ballerina exotic dancers, we'll be rocking out with a bad
script and a low budget, but you know it's gonna be a classic!

Featuring retro-pop, rock, hip hop and electro from DJs Vera, F you B,
Fagbot and Embryon and a special performance of epic battle
proportions!

BENT is a monthly (3rd thursday of each month) non-profit,
collective-run party on Vancouver's eastside that is produced by and
for queers of all kinds and their allies.

In an effort to make BENT more accessible, we offer parents in our
community childcare subsidies. Please email the collective at
we.are.bent@gmail.com for more information.

We are currently raising funds to make the venue we use for BENT
wheelchair accessible. If you have any resources to add to this
effort, please contact us.

If you would like to volunteer at the next BENT please email us.
You'll get into the party for free and get a drink of your choice on
us.

A NOTE TO ALL PARTY GOERS:
We try to make everyone welcome, comfortable and safe at our parties, so please be respectful of the volunteers and other party-goers. Remember that it's volunteers who clean up after you at the end of the night.
